Thursday’s Thankfulness

⁷ In the roar of Your waterfalls,
    ancient depths surge, calling out to the deep.
All Your waves break over me;
    am I drowning?
⁸ Yet in the light of day, the Eternal shows me His love.
    When night settles in and all is dark, He keeps me company—
    His soothing song, a prayerful melody to the True God of my life.

Thursday’s Thankfulness List:

~Deep calling to deep (something way down inside of me resonating with a thought, a truth, an idea, a pull toward the good)

~Waves breaking over me (love crushing me, until all that’s left is love)

~Light that shows the beauty (the original beauty, stripped of all pretense)

~Darkness that surrounds inside and out (the only curative thing that teaches courage and compassion)

~God’s song (settling and sustaining and satisfying and satiating)
