Bits of Being

thoughts on life, faith, family….and, yes, just learning to "be"

Snowscape

= 592

Paint me a picture covered with snow

Let the bright white dazzle and glow

Cover the branches, the ground, and the trash

Don’t leave one flaw, don’t omit one dash

Paint me a life covered with white

Make it look shiny, smiley, and light

Nothing heavy or ugly peeking through

Make it the best, all glowing like new

Throw the canvas up for all to see

This is my family, my life; this is me

Oh, the praise, and the “ooo, ahh” tickles my ear

I’m safe, as all watch my perfect life appear

But what if the snow begins to thaw

What if that paint starts to flaw

What will they see? Just little old me?

The colors and beauty of reality.
